Last week one of our vets, Kate won the TB Advisory Service Vet of the year.
Congratulations to Kate on winning the prestigious and well earnt national award. The award was presented to Kate by a representative from the TB Advisory Service at the local farm of Lisa Buchanan.
Kate is dedicated and committed to helping and advising the farming community on TB- with both the legal regulations and requirements but also with the practicalities.
Cattle in this country are required by law to have regular tests for tuberculosis ( TB) and also require additional testing when they are moved. TB has economic implications for farmers, welfare implications for bovines and potential zoonotic risks to humans so its control is essential.
